Brandon (b. 1992) tells most people that he is a multidisciplinary artist and then kinda trails off… Inspiration crawls out of different holes in the ground and he takes it upon himself to sift through the displaced earth.

His earlier works were deeply concerned with investigating and establishing his identity as a Black artist by means of stereotypes associated with Black culture, predominantly focused on food as a material.

The work has moved towards… whatever fits in Fear, his deep fryer.

Chaotic compartmentalization. His recent work boasts bright colors, ripples with biomorphic shapes, and celebrates texture. While being both silly and somber, Brandon ducks and weaves between comedy and tragedy in the text that he laces throughout his work. Undulating ribbons of acrylic paint create pathways to guide eyes through fried textures that become emotive topographical renderings that repulse, and intrigue onlookers.
